QUARTERLY SUBMISSION DEADLINE

Building a thriving community.

The Mathile Family Foundation believes in a strong community and that every person should have the opportunity to thrive. We believe in the power of organizations that holistically serve those in need, realizing that the challenges that those experiencing poverty face can be multi-faceted and interconnected.

Our four focus areas include basic needs, education, mental health, and positive youth development. Additionally, we support the use of a Two-Generation (2Gen) approach, which provides assistance to both children and their families simultaneously to address the challenges of intergenerational poverty and promote long-term stability for families.

Basic Needs

Children and families in our community thrive when their basic needs are met. We seek to increase access to basic resources for individuals and families facing economic challenges to empower them to build a more secure and resilient future.

Education

Education is one of the greatest social and economic equalizers. We aim to support initiatives committed to building strong, high-quality educational opportunities for underserved communities so that every learner can thrive.

Mental Health

Everyone deserves the opportunity to access mental health care without the fear of cost or judgement. We strive to create pathways for equitable access to mental health services, fostering a community where all individuals can attain recovery and mental well-being without barriers.

Positive Youth Development

Recognizing that school education is only a part of a student’s life, we fund efforts to expand learning opportunities and supports for children outside the classroom, particularly those from under-resourced communities. Through these grants, we aim to provide opportunities for young people to develop essential life skills and engage in meaningful activities they may not otherwise experience.

Geographic Priority

We give highest priority to organizations serving Montgomery County and the greater Dayton area.
